Domain names

A domain name is an Internet address.

A domain name is not an intellectual property right.

With the growing importance of Internet domain names, infringements on trademark rights as a form of industrial property rights often occur.
The resulting conflict between the trademark and domain name can be resolved through litigation or through extra-judicial dispute resolution, e.g., in the context of the alternative domain name dispute resolution (ADR) at the Academic and Research Network of Slovenia (ARNES).

Our legal office provides professional support and offers advice on the violations of trademark rights in connection with domain names and provides representation on the proceedings of alternative domain name dispute resolution at ARNES.
